Today, Gantrex is setting itself apart with a new digital service: MyGantrex – a customer portal that gives industrial clients worldwide 24/7 access to their project data and documents.

Gantrex recognized this as an opportunity to further enhance the customer experience with an innovative digital touchpoint that keeps them a step ahead of the competition.

A Single Portal Serving Diverse Customer Needs

With more than twenty local offices, Gantrex serves customers across the globe„ ranging from port operators and engineers to consultants and end-users. Each of these profiles has different needs: from requesting and tracking quotes, to managing ongoing projects, reviewing inspection reports and maintenance data, and accessing technical documentation. MyGantrex was designed as a central platform that brings all these functions together, giving every user – regardless of their role or location – quick access to relevant information and self-service capabilities.

With its intuitive interface, the portal feels familiar to every user, whether they’re working from an office in Hamburg or a container terminal in Singapore.

For years, Gantrex has relied on Microsoft Dynamics 365 to power its global operations. With MyGantrex, this strategy extends into a full omnichannel approach. The customer portal is not just technically connected to Dynamics 365, but also forms part of a fully integrated environment where customer interactions – both online and offline – come together.

This ensures Gantrex maintains control over the entire customer journey, from quote to delivery and service. At the same time, the portal is designed to fit seamlessly into existing processes and technologies, making organizational change manageable and adding value without unnecessary complexity.

A scalable customer portal built in co-creation with international teams

Lean Product Development for Fast Value Creation

We started with a strategic Project Canvas to define goals, scope, and risks. From there, we deliberately chose a lean product approach: focusing first on delivering a minimum viable product that creates value for customers as quickly as possible.

Rapid Prototyping for Continuous Feedback

By developing prototypes in short sprints and testing them broadly – with both internal stakeholders and customers – we kept our finger on the pulse throughout the project. This allowed us to make adjustments based on real user feedback at every stage, from within the organization and the market.

Co-Creation with International Teams and Focus on Ease of Use

Working closely with Gantrex’s international teams, we iteratively built the portal. Each sprint delivered tangible improvements validated by users in different countries and roles. We placed extra focus on developing a user-friendly, mobile interface that is accessible even to less tech-savvy profiles.

This way of working enabled us to invest the budget from day one in what really matters to the customer: delivering fast value, creating broad support, and continuously optimizing based on real user experiences.

Smart Integration with D365

Through APIs, we integrated MyGantrex with Dynamics 365, making quotes, orders, and maintenance data automatically available to customers without extra manual work for internal teams.
